Oh Deer CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our CTMH Australasian Blog Hop featuring the Oh Deer Paper Collection. If you have arrived here from Maz Wood: aMAZing Close To My Heart Creations you are in the right place. If you have just joined in  click on the link when you get to the bottom of this post to continue on this circular hop to the next Consultant's great ideas.
The Oh Deer collection is only available while stocks last until December 31st, 2016 from the retiring Holiday Expressions Idea Book.
I have created anything and everything out of these papers in the last couple of months! Page layouts for the beach, Christmas and Birthday Cards, gift boxes and decorations... They're all so beautiful.

This is the Christmas layout I created for my workshop ladies to do and they all loved making their own.
It's perfect for your Christmas photos as they can be any size and shape. I started with Colonial White Cardstock for the base pages.
For the title I used the Christmas Thin Cuts and Sea Glass Glitter Paper in my Cuttlebug. I adhered it to Desert Sand cardstock with Bonding Memories Glue Pen and daubed the edges with Cocoa Ink. I used half inch strips of Sea Glass Glitter Paper, zip strips and Desert Sand with two different B&T papers, all cut at 11" long. These pages will suit my Summer beachy Christmas photos perfectly!

The cute little woodgrain trees and stars are from the Oh Deer Assortment and the gold glitter stars are from last year's Fundamentals kit. You could cut your own from Gold Glitter Paper too.
The three journal strips are White Daisy scraps 3" × 0.75" and I drew a border using my Clay ShinHan Marker.

CTMH Australasian Blog Hop - S1612 Thoughful Flowers SOTM

Hello and welcome aboard our December 2016 Thoughtful Flowers Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Maz Wood: aMAZing Close TO My Heart Creations then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

I would like to share with you some cards I have created featuring the December Stamp of the Month, Thoughtful Flowers S1612. This stamp set is available during this month only, for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.

Now I'm predominately a scrapbooker but when I saw this stamp set I had a picture in my mind and I just had to make some cards. I will also reproduce them onto page layouts so it's a win for me!
Don't forget to pin photos to Pinterest!
For this card I did random stamping onto Black Cardstock using White Daisy Pigment Ink. I stamped over the top of two of the flowers with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed before adding the Gold Foil Tape and gems. Next I stamped the sentiment in Black Ink on a scrap of White Daisy, dovetailed the end and adhered it with 3D-Foam Tape.

This next card was a little hard to photograph well. Again I random stamped the Black Cardstock but this time I used coloured Mini Pigment Inks and then heat embossed the lot. I used a piece of lace ribbon from the Rustic Home ribbon pack and Bitty Sparkles to embellish. I also used 3D-Foam Tape to adhere the cute little sentiment: You're a whole lot of wonderful.

With my third card I stamped in coloured Pigment Inks on White Daisy Cardstock, masking some of the flowers to overlap them. I adhered it to a black mat and added Gold Shimmer Trim along the top edge. I stamped another flower and fussy cut it out, cutting off the leaves and tucking one back under it when I adhered it to the card with 3D-foam Tape. This time I used the Best Wishes sentiment in Black ink, adhered it with foam tape and added gems.

City Sidewalks CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our City Sidewalks CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

I have been playing with this Paper Pack and Workshops Your Way Kit a lot! I have made two double page Santa Photo layouts for my kids albums even though I live in Sunny Queensland! The night these photos were taken, we were walking around a favourite street of Christmas Lights displays and dropped in to one house that takes your Santa Photo. My daughter was having lots of fun under the snow machines at some of the houses and the Santa Photo had snow in the background. Perfect for this paper!

The mats are cut from Peacock Cardstock and each photo has a mat of White Daisy. I have embellished with silver glitter snowflakes, stars, spirals and Washi Tape all from the Workshop Kit.
Last month I made cards and a card box with these papers and the Yuletide Stamp of the Month.

I have also been holding Christmas Craft classes and we've been creating coffee mugs using instructions from fellow Consultant Denise Tarlington. We've also been making 4x4" gift boxes using instructions from Consultant Kara Davies.

These products are only available until December 31st, 2016 from our seasonal Holiday Expressions Idea Book.

20 Card Christmas Box

20 Card Christmas Box

designed and created by Georgia O'Shea

I finished a box of teabags the other day. Not very exciting BUT I kept the box with the flip top lid to re-create into a Christmas gift! Am I the only one who does this? The box was not wide enough or high enough to hold cards, so I pulled it apart and worked out how I could extend it to fit. I then created the box and wrote out all the instructions. I hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients:
  • 2 Sheets of wreath paper from City Sidewalks Paper Pack X7213B
  •  Red Glitter Paper Z3241
  •  Green Shimmer Trim Z3087
  •  ShinHan Markers Carmine and Leaf Green
  • October 2016 SOTM Yuletide Joy S1610
  • Shimmer Brush Z3293
  • Bonding Glue Pen 1512 and 3D-Foam Tape Z1151

1st Piece:  Top and back
Cut your first piece of wreath paper 8 x 12” so that it is 8” wide along the top and 12” long down the side when looking at the paper with the wreaths the correct way. This is so your pattern will be the right way up.
Score the short side at 1” and 7”.
Score the long side at 2”, 7.25” and 10”.
Cut along score lines shown in red on the photo to the right. I used the edge of my Shimmer Trim roll to trace around to make the curved corners on the sides of the lid. Cut along the curve and discard along with the two pieces at the bottom corners. Fold along all score lines.

2nd Piece:  Front and Sides
Cut your second piece of wreath paper 11.5 x 7.75” so that it is 11.5” wide along the top and 7.75” long down the side when looking at the paper correctly.
Score the short side at 2” and 7.25”.
Score the long side at 2.75” and 8.75”.
Cut along the score lines that are shown in red on the photo of the 2nd piece. Flip over onto it’s face and fold up along all score lines.

Construction – 1st Piece
Adhere the curved lid flap A to the outside of flap B shown in the photo below. Repeat for the other side of the lid. Set aside.

Construction – 2nd Piece
Lay the 2nd piece down on it’s face so it looks like the photo below. Fold the two base sides up and in and adhere to the base.

Joining the two pieces
Stand the 2nd piece up on it’s base and adhere the base of the 1st Piece on top of the base of the 2nd Piece as shown below.
Ad adhesive to the two side flaps of the 1st Piece and fold up to adhere to the inside of the 2nd Piece sides.
Apply adhesive to the last three flaps on the top edges of the 2nd Piece and fold in.

Mark the centre of the lid’s edge with a pencil at 3” (half way) and use the Thumb Notch Punch to cut the half circle.

You are now finished and ready for embellishments!
I used a 6” x 1” piece of Red Glitter Paper and two 6” strips of Green Shimmer Trim.
I stamped the star from October SOTM Yuletide Joy on a scrap of White Daisy Cardstock and cut it out.
I coloured with ShinHan Markers Carmine and Leaf Green then added Shimmer Brush to the poinsettia and the little black lines on the star. I then adhered with 3D-Foam Tape.

This box holds 20 cards and envelopes in plastic bags!  Use different papers and embellishments to make it suitable for gifts anytime of the year.

You can find instructions for the matching Christmas card on my blog post HERE

CTMH Australasian Blog Hop - S1610 Yuletide Joy SOTM

Hello and welcome aboard our October 2016 Yuletide Joy Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from

then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a project I have created featuring the October Stamp of the Month, Yuletide Joy S1610. This stamp set is available during this month only, for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.

Don't forget to Pin to Pinterest!

I have used one of our value pack cards that is 4.25 x 5.5".
The matt of wreath paper is 3.75 x 4" and from our City Sidewalks Pack.
I used Bonding Memories Glue Pen to adhere a 1.5 x 4" piece of Red Glitter Paper half an inch from the left side of the card. I then attached a 6" piece of Green Shimmer Trim alongside the red.

I stamped the star and the sentiment onto scraps of White Daisy cardstock using black Memento Ink. I cut out the star with my Micro Tip Scissors and dovetailed the sentiment which ended up being 3.5 x 0.75". I used ShinHan Markers to colour with Carmine and Leaf Green. I also used our Shimmer Brush on the poinsettia and the black lines but it's hard to photograph! I added 3 Red Enamel Gems and adhered both pieced to the card with 3D-Foam Tape.

I also designed a 20 Card Box to match with instructions in a blog post.

Jeepers Creepers Paper Packet

I just love the colour combinations in this pack! The new Tangerine shades matched my storm cloud photos and the lightening bolts were perfect!
I like to challenge myself with using up all of the paper packet and thinking outside the box. Not a Halloween photo in sight on this layout.

I purchased the WYW Scrapbook Kit which includes the Complements, Assortment and Washi Tapes. Did you notice there's no stamping here (and that I made a spelling mistake in the journaling that I'll now have to change)?

I've also made these Monster Birthday cards using the Monstrous Halloween Stamp Set and matching Thin Cuts.

Here are two of the Halloween WYW Kit layouts that I have done. Just download the instructions from your Consultant's website.

These products are only available until December 31st, 2016 from our seasonal Holiday Expressions Idea Book.
