Celebrate With Cake S1605 - CTMH Australasian SOTM Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Close To My Heart 2016
Celebrate With Cake
Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from
you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link to the next blog at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a layout I have made for my daughter's birthday featuring the May Stamp of the Month, Celebrate With Cake S1605. This stamp set is available only in May 2016 for $27, or for just $7.50 when you place an order of $75 or more.

I have also used the new Calypso WYW Kit which has just been released today with our new Seasonal Expressions 2!

To start with I stamped the 5 cake stands onto a piece of White Daisy cardstock (or Watercolour paper) 11.5" x 4". I then stamped the different cake pieces and then it was time to colour in!
I used our Watercolour Paints (which are so smooth and gorgeous to use) to colour in a combination of all the different cakes and cake stands in the set. You could also use our Exclusive Inks stamp pads and a waterbrush , ShinHan Markers or Watercolour Pencils to colour in our stamps!

I then arranged my photos and decided on the flamingo PML card to go on the right hand page. Next I just built up some clusters of vellum accents, stickers, sequins, zip strips and papers to embellish. I used the pineapple Washi Tape and the flamingo Washi Tape too! Love it!

CTMH Australasian SE1 Last Chance Blog Hop

Our SE1 Seasonal Expressions Idea Book is finishing up at the end of April. This means that most of the crafty goodness inside will be unavailable to order after April 30th.
This Blog Hop is to showcase some of our favourites so you can get your orders in ASAP before stocks run out! Click on the image below to view the contents of  Idea Book.
If you have arrived here from
Then you are in the right place. If you have just joined in then have at look at my ideas then click on the link at the bottom of this post to take you to the next blog. Don't forget to Pin any photos you like to Pinterest!
I am using the Penelope WYW Kit (G1106) to create some little albums out of 4x6" Flip Flaps (Z4114). The pack of 15 Flip Flaps is only $6.50 and I used 3 for each mini album. These albums are going to be given to my daughter's best friends who came to her birthday party.
They will have a few photos of the day's festivities and are full of gorgeous colours!
First I cut up the PML sheets from the Penelope Paper Pack. I trimmed the edges off this PML card and mounted it on a 4x6" mat of Thistle B&T with green on the back.
I chose a 3x4" PML card and trimmed it a little before mounting it on the green mat. I stamped on a scrap of White Daisy the Wish (M1051) sentiment. Only $5!

The next mat has Thistle on one side with a strip of yellow zip strip along the bottom edge. The back of this B&T is the colourful birds.
The right side is another 4x6 PML card.
The back is another mat cut from B&T yellow stripe with another zip strip along the top.
I went through and added a few stickers and vellum accents from the matching Complements.
Then I peeled the cover off the Flip Flaps and stuck them together one at a time. To cover the adhesive I added Silver Shimmer Trim and then used our Mini Stapler to attach some Thistle Twine. I then put another strip of Shimmer Trim on the back which also covered the two staples.

Regatta Workshops Your Way - CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome to our Regatta Workshops Your Way Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from
Vandra’s Virtual CTMH Craftroom.
then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, that's okay, please join in by following the link at the end of this post which will take you to the next Consultant's great idea. Don't forget to leave your comments and Pin any of the ideas you love to Pinterest!

This is the Regatta WYW Kit (G1105). If you haven't bought this kit yet, you need to order it asap. Just click on the photo to shop. You will find it in our Seasonal Expressions catalogue (pictured below) and it is only available until the end of April!
This is the traditional scrapbooking layout I made using the papers, stickers, cardboard compliments and White and Gold Ribbon from the kit. Don't you love how everything coordinates perfectly? I also used a Picture My Life card from the papers included and added the "Nothing Better" title from the stickers. It all just suits my daughter's Cub Scout photos so well.

The Complements in the kit (X7206C) are beautifully designed and make embellishing your layout so quick and easy. Just cluster little groups together until you are happy with how it looks.

This cute little journal box is a sticker!

There is so much included in the WYW kit that you will have lots left over for more pages and cards. Here is a Picture My Life layout that I also decorated with PML cards from the same kit.

Life In Pictures - CTMH April SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.

Today I would like to share with you this layout of my Dad when he was young. He passed away in 2014 but he spent his whole life as a photographer, using many of these large format cameras.
It features April 2016  Stamp of the Month Life in Pictures S1604
available exclusively during April for $7.50 when you spend $75. Or just rrp of $27 for the SOTM if you don't need to place a $75 order this month.

I started with White Daisy cardstock 3.25" x 11" and used black ink to stamp the photo frame in the centre and then the sentiment in the middle of the frame. I random stamped the cameras, making sure that I stamped over the edges. If you do this on your All Purpose Mat the excess ink can just be wiped away. I stamped the photo frame again on a scrap of Flaxen cardstock and cut it out with my All Purpose Scissors. The fine point lets you get right into those corners easily! I then adhered this frame over the top of the other stamped frame using 3D Foam Tape and tied some Black and Gold Ribbon around it. Next I used a Dauber and Flaxen Ink to distress the edges of the whole piece and then went around again with Black Ink.

The background page is 12x12" Black Cardstock. The Flaxen page adhered on top is 11.5 x 11.5". I adhered only the left hand side of the stamped white piece so that I could tuck the black ribbon under the other side later. I used Micro Glue Dots to stick down the pieces of ribbon, cutting them as I went and tucking the ends under the page edge.

I used EzyDots to adhere the matted photos to the page and then stamped an extra camera in Flaxen Ink in a blank corner. I added Black Epoxy Bubbles to the corners of the page and one to each photo to look like tacks or pins. I wrote my Dad's name on a scrap of Flaxen and daubed the edges in Black Ink then just wrote the year next to each photo directly on the page. I hope you like it!

Koala Christmas Card!

Koala Christmas Card

Just look at this adorable Christmas card that I created using two different stamp sets. I saw the little Koala with his paw up and thought that he would look so cute holding up some decorations. Then I saw the branch on the Joyful Garland stamp set and the design came to me!

The Operation Smile stamp set is called Animal Greetings D1679 $27
Isn't it sweet?! You will find it on the back cover of your current Annual Inspirations Idea Book, available until August 2016.
We donate $7USD from each purchase to Operation Smile, an organisation that provides surgeries for children with cleft lips and palates. Light up some smiles!
.

The other stamp set I used is called Joyful Garland B1489 and it is only available to Hostesses or Consultants. If you host a Gathering with a couple of friends and your sales reach $200, you can get this stamp for FREE with your Host credits. Or place an order with me for $200 and you can also get your Hostess Rewards! Of course if you join my team as a Consultant, you can order any of the Hostess Rewards for yourself! You can find it on page 5 of our Holiday Expressions and is only available until the end of December 2015.

Let me show you how to make it!

The recipe for the card is Pattern #28 from  Make It From Your Heart Vol 2.

I used one of our Value Pack White Daisy card bases.

Cut a Cranberry and a Topiary Cardstock Piece 4 x 1 3/4". Cut a White Pines B&T 4 x 1/2" then use a dauber to colour the edges of the three pieces in Black Exclusive Ink. Adhere these to the card as shown. Using Memento Ink, stamp the koala on a scrap of White Daisy then the branch and the three ornaments. Stamp the Merry Christmas with Cranberry Ink.
Colour in with our ShinHan Alcohol Markers. The koala's tummy is Pastel Peach, body is Warm Grey, nose is Clay and cheeks are Tender Pink. Draw over the branch with a little Sap Green then colour the ornaments with Carmine and Golden Yellow.
Cut the piece down leaving 1/4" border around your stamping. Mine is 2 1/2 x 3"Next use a dauber to colour the edges with Topiary Ink. Adhere a 5 1/4" strip of Gold Shimmer Trim 3/4" up from the bottom of the mats on your card. Apply 3D-foam tape to the back of your stamped piece and adhere to your card.

Here are some more cute cards I made using the Animal Greetings Stamp Set, scraps of fundamentals papers from our last Idea Book and Kaleidoscope papers from the current Idea Book.

Twinkle S1510 - CTMH October SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
 for October 2015
If you have arrived here from
then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, that's okay, please join in by following the link at the end of this post which will take you to the next Consultant's great idea. Don't forget to leave your comments and Pin any of the ideas you love to Pinterest!

Today I would like to share with you a Card Box which features October 2015 Stamp of the Month
available exclusively throughout October for $7.50 when you spend $75. Or just pay rrp of $27 for the SOTM if you don't need to place a  $75 order this month.

You can make this Card Box to keep your Christmas Cards in that you create over the next couple of months, ready to hand out or post. Or you can give it as a gift for Christmas. Fill it with cards for any occasion to make a beautiful present for someone special! The lid even has a hidden magnet to keep it closed. Genius!

Journaling
Card Box Z1953

Start with a sheet of White Pines B&T Duos and a sheet of Cranberry Cardstock. Cut 1 ½” strips of both papers and then cut these into 1 ½” squares. When you glue these onto the front of the box, you will leave a ¼” border around the top, bottom and side edges. These edges will be covered with the shimmer trim. Apply lots of Bonding Memories glue pen to the back of each square and use tweezers to pick them up and position them on the box. This will keep your fingers clean for smoothing each square down. Continue the squares on the sides and top of the box. I used the White Pines paper to cover the back and base.

Now it's time to add the Green Shimmer Trim to the edges. For the front of the box, you need to cut the shimmer trim to the length of the box and then mitre the corners by cutting off at a 45° angle. This will give you nice clean corners with no bumps. You then need to cut 6 more pieces with square ends at 1 ½” for the top and bottom of the sides and the ends of the top of the box as shown in the photos. You will need some scraps of Colonial White cardstock to stamp your images on. I stamped the bauble twice in Fern Ink and once in Cranberry. I stamped the frame in Fern and then the Merry Everything in Cranberry. I then cut these out with my Micro Tip Scissors. I adhered the Merry Everything with foam tape on the front of the lid and then I adhered the baubles on the front using Glue Dots.

Here is a card I also made with the same products. I hope you like it!
