CTMH Australasian Blog Hop - S1609 Blessed Beyond Measure SOTM

Hello and welcome aboard our September 2016 Blessed Beyond Measure Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from
then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a project I have created featuring the September Stamp of the Month, Blessed Beyond Measure. This stamp set is available during this month only, for $27 or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.
I love the sentiments in this stamp set. Being thankful and grateful for my two happy, healthy kids is what inspired me to create this layout for their albums.

Don't forget to pin this photo to Pinterest

First I covered a sheet of White Daisy Cardstock with background stamping using all the different leaves in the set. I used our Mini Pigment Inks in our gorgeous new Adventure colours. I stamped in Emerald, Willow, Raspberry, Tangerine and also Sea Glass - our colour of the year!

I started stamping in the bottom right corner and as I got to the top I added some second generation stamping to lighten the design. I also stamped "Thankful" in Raspberry ink on a scrap of White Daisy with "to have you in my life" in Emerald ink.

Next I chose the matching cardstock colours for my photo mats. I used Emerald, Tangerine and Raspberry from the Adventure Cardstock Combo pack pictured below. I didn't follow a pattern or sketch for this layout, I just made it up as I went along. The Emerald mat is 4.5x6.5". The Tangerine piece is 4x7" and the Raspberry piece is 2x12".

I cut up leftovers to make the dovetail pieces and then distressed all the coloured cardstock pieces with our Edge Distresser. (I love this tool!) I used 3D foam tape to adhere the Thankful sentiment to the page.

I adhered everything to the page, adding White and Gold Ribbon and Pink Enamel Gems for embellishments. I used our Mini Glue Dots to adhere the ribbon as they're super strong!

At the end I popped in an extra stamped leaf under the corner of the photo. After I took the photo I removed the leaf, distressed the edges and stuck it back on...ahh that's better. It didn't look right with it's clean cut edges!
