This stamp set is available this month only for $27, or buy it for $7.50 when you purchase $75 or more from your Consultant.
I wanted to make my niece's 16th Birthday card with this stamp set and tell her that she's "awesome to the core"! I've been scrapbooking with the new Fresh Air paper pack and decided to use the same earthy papers for my card as it really suits my niece. I made the card base 4"x7" out of White Daisy Cardstock. I posted it in a standard business size envelope and I stamped apples and leaves in the corner.

I stamped the three images and the sentiment in Memento Ink and coloured-in with my watercolour pencils. I used Thin 3D foam tape to adhere the gorgeous girl to a piece of retired Espresso cardstock. This mat only slightly overlaps the gold Shimmer Trim. I adhered a piece of green Zip Strip and then the sentiment with foam tape.

Next I adhered the basket of apples with Thin foam tape and then I adhered the apple pie with a double layer of Thin foam tape so it really added extra depth.
I added some glitter gems from my stash and stamped the inside and it was in the post. I know my niece will love it!
This is the Fresh Air paper pack that I used.

This stamp set is available this month only for $27, or buy it for $7.50 when you purchase $75 or more from your Consultant.
S1804 Colour Your Life
I have created a couple of very different cards from this stamp set to show you.
This first card is to send to someone who I think is brave.  Someone who has overcome obstacles, had a rough trot, been through some hard times. Wouldn't it be nice to show someone that they should celebrate their own courage and that you think they are amazing!

I used Blossom cardstock to make a 4"x7" card base and used the Scallop border punch on one of the 7" sides to make the card front. This punch is now retired but you could use the Scallop border thin cuts instead. I used the pink gingham zip strip and floral paper from our Gimme Some Sugar paper pack. Gold shimmer trim and Bashful Pearls add some bling. Celebrate is stamped in Juniper ink and Courage is stamped in Memento ink and coloured with ShinHan markers.

On the inside I added a 0.5" strip of the Juniper spot paper. I then added a white mat 3.25x6.75" that I had stamped with the arrow, leaves and hand drawn the border. The orange flower was fussy cut from the floral paper. When the card is closed you can see the green spot paper under the pink scallop edge.

The next card I have to show was made for a friend's husband who did me a big favour and I wanted to show my appreciation. On the inside I stamped "Thank You".  This card was made using papers from the Basic Fundamentals pack and a bit of Juniper. I am told he loved his card!

Stargazer CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Welcome aboard the Close To My Heart Australasian blog hop showcasing the Stargazer paper collection.

This is a circular hop. If you arrived here from
then you are in the right place. Simply read through this post and click on the link at the end to hop to the next blog. Don't forget to Pin any ideas to Pinterest to save for later! Keep "hopping" until you find yourself back where you started from. Each blog will showcase a project featuring the
Stargazer Paper Pack and coordinating products.
I decided to make my very first Shaker card using the Stargazer paper and Complements and March's Stamp of the Month Birthday Time
First I sponged Sapphire Ink around the front edges of the White card base. I cut a mat from the astronaut paper, cut out the circle window and distressed around the edges. I used some coloured sequins from my stash, removed the adhesive dots from the back and popped them in a little pocket that I made out of a plastic sleeve and attached this to the back of the circle window. I then attached the card front onto the card using 3D foam tape.

I added a section from a circle of red stripe paper onto the bottom left corner, added some silver spot stickers and part of a zip strip. I took the rocket sticker from the Complements and stuck it onto Canary cardstock before cutting it out and sticking it down with 3D foam tape. I stamped It's your birthday in Sapphire ink on a scrap of white cardstock and inked the edges before adhering it with 3D foam tape.

I have also made the Scrapbooking layouts using instructions that come in the Stargazer Workshop kit. I changed them up a little to suit my photos.
The first layout really shows that you don't only have to use this pack for little boys!

I used it for my daughter's album to scrapbook the evening we watched the supermoon from the beachfront with lots of other families from the community.

The second layout I encorporated March's Stamp of the Month again, making an awesome birthday layout with this versatile stamp set.

Explosion Box Card - Baby Boy - Chelsea Gardens

It's March. Our Seasonal Expressions catalogue came out January 1st and I'm still creating with the Chelsea Gardens collection
But this time it's different. This time it's a baby BOY card.

This pack is so obviously pretty with all the flowers and butterflies BUT I want to show you how the other papers in the pack can be non-girly.
I searched Pinterest for instructions for an exploding box card and found one from Lori Williams that was easy to follow. I'll pop the link at the bottom of this post to her blog as it has all the measurements. Here is my baby boy card box.

I used Glacier and Cashmere cardstock with Glacier, Heather and Charcoal Inks.

I also used Watercolour pencil to colour in my koala.

I used four stamp sets from my stash to decorate the card.

S1802 Sunny Thoughts Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our February 2018
Stamp of the Month blog hop.

This stamp set is available this month only for $27, or buy it for $7.50 when you purchase $75 or more from your Consultant.

S1802 Sunny Thoughts

I wanted to make a single page layout for a one-off photo from my daughter's daycare. This is definitely out of my comfort zone as I normally like to put lots of photos on my pages.
I chose our new Make Waves papers as the colours are perfect! The first thing I did was choose two cut-apart cards. I attached the one with the "This is a girl..." quote onto the other one on an angle to show off the flowers. At this stage I didn't have a plan, I just liked the look! I chose the background paper and then stamped the leaves in Lagoon ink along a white 1/2" x12" strip.
Next I stamped on white card "You are the Sunshine in my pocket" in Lagoon ink. I then used a dauber to ink the flowers in the stamp above with Pansy Ink and the leaves with Lagoon and stamped it on both sides. I then cut the white card down and daubed the edges with Pansy.
At this stage I lay all these pieces on the purple base page and just played with the layout until I ended up with this arrangement.

I decided it needed a contrasting coloured circle behind the photo instead of a traditional rectangle mat and chose this gorgeous ombre sheet. After sticking everything down I stamped the lagoon leaf under the photo. Then I stamped a couple of flowers, fussy cut them and attached them with foam tape. After sticking down the "Sunshine" mat with foam tape, I added the little dovetails of shimmer trim, white sequins, clear sparkles and bittly sparkles from my stash of embellishments. I really love what I've created and don't even mind that there's only one photo on the page!

S1701 Bloom and Grow

I have created this layout using the new Chelsea Gardens paper pack (X7230B), Chelsea Gardens Scrapbooking stamp set (D1760) and Bloom and Grow stamp set. I also used a retired Alphabet stamp set for "Nana's 70th".

The layout pattern is from Make It From Your Heart Vol 1 - page 20.
I made a couple of adjustments to allow extra width for my landscape photo instead of the portrait photo in the book.
I stamped the two card embellishments using pear ink and then used my waterbrush to add colour to the tiny leaves. I stamped the sentiments in Heather ink and then matted them on Heather cardstock.
The "Wonderful" title, flower and leaves are all stamped from the Chelsea Gardens Scrapbooking stamp set.
